Mr. Michael Lam, the famous food columnist from Hong Kong, resided at the KC

KC Resort & Over Water Villas welcomed the renowned food writer from Hong Kong, Mr. Michael Lam.

Mr. Michael Lam, a Young God of Eating of Hong Kong, is well known for his writings about food and also locally known as a Young God of Eating. His critics regularly appear on television and on radio. Mr. Lam published several books and all of them had been sold out in a very short period of time.

During his stay at the KC Resort & Over Water Villas Mr. Lam enjoyed a delicious dinner at The View Restaurant & Wine Lounge and he also had the chance to experience The Secret Chef Society. Mr. Michael Lam took part in a Thai Cooking Class at the KC and he reports it was a lot of fun preparing traditional Thai Food. Mr. Michael Lam said that he loves Samui, The View Restaurant & Wine Lounge, as well as KC Resort & Over Water Villas. He is definitely trying to come back to visit again.

KC sponsors the Queen's Cup 2011

KC Resort & Over Water Villas is proud to be a sponsor of the Queen’s Cup 2011. The Queen’s Cup is a Golf Tournament which takes place for the third time on Samui. Last year, Japanese golf player Tetsuji Hiratsuka claimed a one-shot victory. Chinnarat Phadungsil from Thailand won the tournament in 2009. Bangkok Airways, the Sports Authority of Thailand, Thailand PGA, Asian Tour and Santiburi Samui Country Club organize this sporting event.

The tournament takes place at the Santiburi Samui Country Club from June 16^th to 19^th 2011 and welcomes everyone who is interested in playing or watching Golf.  The Santiburi Samui Country Club is a championship golf course landscaped on the mountains of Samui Island and provides its golf players 18 holes on 6,930 yards.

Loy Krathong Festival

Loy Krathong Festival is a traditional Thai ceremony to float (Loy) a small raft (Krathong) with candle and incense on a river, lake, or canal. The act of floating away Krathong is a symbolic act of paying respect, apologizing and thanking the Goddess of water for the bad things they have done to the river during the past year. This is why the Loy Krathong festival is held at the end of the year. It is also believed that Loy Krathong is a symbol of letting go of all one's grudges, anger and defilements, to start life afresh on a better foot.

Loy Krathong Festival marks the night of the 12th full moon, which this year falls on November 21^st. It always takes place at the beginning of the cooler season, which makes it one of the most memorable ways to start a holiday in Thailand. Loy Krathong is a fantastic time to be on Samui.

After the successful launch of The Secret Chef Society on Koh Samui, KC Resort & Over Water Villas, as the founding members, are now stepping up to make their Restaurant, "The View & Wine Lounge" even more attractive.

As of September a Violin Player will serenade guests every Tuesday through KC's very own Steak Night, which is a great deal by the way - each couple received one fine complimentary bottle of wine.

Then KC Resort & Over Water Villas are introducing Samui's only Russian Saxophone Player, who will perform every Friday for the Romantic Candle Night Dining experience.

Dining on Koh Samui

Everyone loves food and most of us wish to have at least one memorable dinner during on holiday, or two, or three… 

If you are on Koh Samui on Honeymoon and like fancy dining underneath the stars on a moonlit beach or just a casual but excellent Thai Dinner, Samui offers it all. 

Cow meets Caviar, will be the new highlight on Samui’s Dining Heaven, located on the serene part of Chaweng Beach; this fine beach dining offers the fine skills of KC’s culinary instigator, Mr. Ryan Dadufalza. Heather Small – Charity Concert

The world famous singer of the 90ies band M People, Heather Small will do a charity concert on KC Resorts’ Roof-Top terrace on 2nd March 2010.
