The 44$ Pie

It started out as trial as to what-to-do for the launch of the Secret Chef Society on Koh Samui, which was held on the 27th of September 2010 at Nikki Beach; just days before the six chefs - six course event at Six Senses, at their Dining on the Rocks Restaurant.

The $44 Pie was cut up in little slices as a "dessert" towards the end of the event, along with the favorite alternative, the hot cinnamon bun. However the $44 Pie was the winner and the talk of the event. Already now the pie is being sold as a take-away.

Ryan Dadufalza created this tantalizing caramel wonder and credits the sea salt in the recipe as being the key component.
“You need a good amount of salt in there to counter the copious amounts of sugar in the recipe,” says Ryan. He goes on by admitting that “it’s the main reason why the dessert is so well-received; it is a multifaceted taste experience.”

The $44 pie will live on in the menu of KC Resort & Over Water Villas' menu.
