The ibis Koh Samui Trophy 2011

The ibis Koh Samui Trophy 2011 is a challenging race in the Amazing Thailand Adventure Race Series

The race is organized by the Active Management by Active Management Asia (AMA) in association with Ibis Hotels, the TourismAuthority of Thailand, the Tourism Association of Koh Samui and the Thai Hotel Association of Koh Samui.

Adventure Racing is a new sport that has exploded in popularity across Asia.  The Koh Samui Trophy 2011 will take place on September 17^th 2011 in Bophut. The competitors will hike and run through unspoiled jungle, paddle and swim on the turquoise waters of the gulf of Thailand and cycle over the hills with spectacular views of the ocean.

More than 100 teams from all around the world are expected to join the event, as well as local people and the winners of last year’s race, Saman Gunnan and Seree Ruansiri.

Besides the athletic part it will be also a lot of fun for visitors, especially for families and young children because this event is focusing on promoting sport among young people.
